Kevin and Jen’s Story: from Canada!
“When we got married, we never thought we would experience a 7-year long year journey of infertility. Coming from Canada, where options such as embryo adoption are essentially non-existent, we had resigned ourselves to the possibility that we would never have children. Then, while working in Seattle for a few years a good friend shared about a local couple who had embryo adoption through Cedar Park, and this renewed our hope. We contacted Maria, and after being matched with an incredible donor family we couldn’t believe our joy when we got the call from the clinic confirming pregnancy. Fast forward 5 years, with another wonderful donor family match and our second daughter, we still exist in that moment of transformative awe when we were given the incredible gifts of our daughters, Beatrix and Margaux.”
“During our years of infertility, a close friend shared with us that the deep pain we felt was our heart’s longing to love and be loved. Amongst all the disappointing tests and complex research of our options we found peace in the simplicity of this description. As we continue our journey as a family we dig deeper into this desire of our hearts and experience the miraculous bond of our family with our daughters.
Along the way we feel so fortunate to be able to provide updates to the donor families. It is a joy to share with those whom we have a unique connection given to us. It will truly take us a lifetime to unpack our gratitude for something as precious as having a family and the opportunity to love and be loved.”

Hope and Help for Grieving a Stillbirth or Miscarriage
Interview by Carrie Abbott of the Legacy Institute
You Are Still a Mother
“When a woman loses a baby to stillbirth or miscarriage, it feels like the ground has fallen out from underneath her and the grief that follows can be extremely isolating and misunderstood. Speaking from experience, author Jackie Gibson shares honestly from her journey, acknowledging the sorrow, loneliness, and fears that come from suffering the loss of a child, while pointing to the real comfort she and her husband received from God, their church community and His word. A fantastic book!”

Your Losses Will Be Restored
The above story is about a mom that had a stillborn baby. I did not have that but I did go for an ultrasound and heard the words, “There is no heartbeat”, the most devastating words in my life at that point. On the way out of the office there was this pregnancy wheel to calculate due dates, sitting on the counter. I asked if I could have it. I have no idea why I did that at the time, but now I do. When we found out about embryo adoption and got pregnant with my daughter Elisha I used it to calculate my due date. Now if is on my desk and I have calculated the due date of now of nearly 250 babies!
God has a plan to restore our losses, It is different for everyone. The main thing is don’t give up, and ask God to show you the path. He will! If you need prayer email me with your request and we will be praying for you!
